Review: Grilled Peach with Goat Cheese from The Produce Exchange

This year’s most buzzed about new food is not your classic deep-fried, on-a-stick Fair fare, it’s a fresh juicy peach. Yes, this is a surprise, and maybe it’s a sign of changing times. But it’s a welcomed new direction, and when the product is this good, the buzz is justified. A vibrant peach is split in half and lightly grilled, drizzled with honey, and for an additional charge you can get it topped with either Greek yogurt or goat cheese. I opted for the goat cheese version, and while it is costly at $9, the cheese was a creamy addition that compliments the peach well. If you’re ready for a change of pace in Fair foods, give this one a try and enjoy the freshness and the flavors.
